PERRI ANN BARLEY
Perri Ann Barley is a Playwright, Scriptwriter and Actress/Singer based in York, North Yorkshire, UK. She has established herself as a prominent figure in the local theatre scene, particularly as the resident writer for Blue Light Theatre York, where she has been active for over twelve years. During this time, she has written numerous pantomimes , full-length and short plays, showcasing her versatility and creativity whilst receiving excellent reviews.
Perri draws inspiration for her writing from her family, friends, and everyday life experiences.
Perri has also written bespoke plays for other Theatre Companies and has worked alongside Yorkshire Ambulance Service on several projects - creating scripts on hard hitting subjects to not only raise awareness of difficult subjects but to assist staff in Training - often showcased at Training Events and International Conferences. One of the projects was a short film called “The Importance of Early CPR” for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service. The film (and Perri's script) gained international recognition by placing fourth in a competition in the United States.
In addition to her writing accomplishments, Perri Ann is involved in various theatre projects. She is a member of London Playwrights, where she has participated in the Supported Writers Programme. She has also received excellent reviews for her work, not only locally but from professional Playwrights from around the World.
